Recent Years

Let's start at the beginning...

At a very young age I could sense people around me but no one there that I could see and it frightened me. I was afraid to go to sleep at night. When telling this to my parents, as many parents do, my mother and father thought I was imagining the whole thing and just having nightmares. Patting me on the head, I was sent back to bed. Needless to say I spent many uneasy nights until around the age of 8, the sensing of unseen presences stopped.

Then, in my late teens, I began having pre-cognitive dreams (dreams that come true). I could also "see faces and bodies of people at times when closing my eyes. Some were even wearing fashions from other time periods. In other words, the flow of experiences had started again, but this time the experiences were different. At this point, I knew I had some extra-sensory abilities but just what they were, and what to do with them, I had no idea.

I had learned of a center across the Bay in Berkeley, California, from a friend of my mother who was an astrologer. There were very few psychic training facilities in those days. Truthfully, I was a little afraid to explore and develop my gifts, let alone tell most people about it. Putting my trepidation aside, I began my psychic training. I didn't stay long, however, as I married young. In the meantime I kept studying by reading any book I could get my hands on. I devoured anything on astrology, about the angelic realms, how to contact my spirit guides, astral projection, development of psychic abilities, and uncovering my past lives. I read Ruth Montgomery, Hans Holzer, Eileen Garrett, Brad Steiger, and a host of other new age authors.

In later years, I self taught myself how to read Tarot cards. I saw them in a bookstore and fell in love instantly. I practiced on anyone and everyone! Eventually, I was good enough to go public and eventually became a professional psychic. As I continued to grow and expand my knowledge, paranormal events were happening at an accelerated rate.

In the early eighties, after a couple of near death experiences, I decided I needed a change and moved to Arizona to be closer to my family. One day while perusing a local metaphysical newspaper, I saw that a Psychic Fair was being held in Sedona. This, as fate would have it, was where I met my first mentor, Dr. *Alice Bowers. During a psychic reading, she informed me that I would soon be doing intuitive counseling just as she was. I distinctly remember telling her, "This is just a side interest of mine and I think you must be mistaken." But she insisted that I too, would be doing readings for others. Frankly the thought terrified me. However, I soon began my training in ernest with Dr. Bowers. I was ordained as a minister a few years later and also became a Certified Psychic/Medium through her church.

Over the last twenty-five years, I have worked in most facets of the intuitive arts field. This, coupled with a career with the airlines and eventually the publishing world, I found my niche and joy in teaching the intuitive arts and especially, teaching people how to become Mediums. I've done literally over 3,00o intuitive sessions and traveled the country doing fairs and group readings.

Today, teaching is the joy of my life. Do I still sense Spirits? Yes. I also "see" what is termed "earthbound" Spirits (better known as ghosts). Does it bother me? No!

In my classes, I share my experiences with others and help them to understand their own abilities. I help guide and encourage students to walk through their fears. I also talk about what many call death and that we do not really die but transcend into another realm. As mediums, we can provide proof of this fact. Our mission at Imagine Spirit is dedicated to teaching the highest quality of Mediumship and spiritual development.

I would also like to mention that I am a Pisces sun sign. Pisces, the 12th sign of the zodiac, is associated with the subconscious mind, deep intuitive senses, and Spirit connections. Pisces sun signs make natural mediums and psychics. Although many sun signs are extremely psychic and mediumistic, the sensitivity of the Pisces makes tuning in to the
Spirit realm a little easier.

What I have found in this fascinating journey into the inner realms, is a new way of living and thinking. I have been able to experience life and its mysteries to its fullest and find wonder in all there is. The inner expansion and healing as result has been a phenomenal gift. And, I truly believe those individuals willing to explore and increase their potential like I did, have the opportunity to live a wonderfully enriched life by drawing from the limitless supply of amazing graces we've all been gifted with.

*Dr. Alice Bowers was a psychic medium who was trained in a Spiritualist church. At times, she partnered with Dr. Richard Ireland who was on the Steve Allen show several times in the 60s. She was an incredible human being a very kind and encouraging teacher. She passed away a few years ago and I know she is continuing her work in Spirit.
