>About a Code
of Ethics
Students will learn
the importance of a strong Code of Ethics
and will have the opportunity to compose
their own with samples provided. A Code
of Ethics is a list of statements describing
what a practitioner will and will not
do in their practice. It offers a feeling
of security and provides a good guideline
for what the client might expect from
their reading.
>Psychics and
Mediums Throughout History
In this class you
will learn about the many prophets,
mediums, and the advent of spiritualism
throughout recorded and ancient history.
Many different kinds of psychic clairvoyants
from the Oracle at Delphi to mediums
like James Van Praague, Edgar Cayce,
Jean Dixon, and John Edwards of modern
times will be discussed at length.
>Definition
of PSI (Intuition) and Student “Self-Test”
Not as intimidating
as it sounds, this class goes over the
definitions of PSI or psychic intuition
and provides exercises to determine
where the student’s strengths lie
with their intuitive skills. Apparent
strong and weaker aspects are identified
and will render the student a baseline
upon which to monitor progress and develop
further. Also you will learn the difference
between a Psychic and a Tarot Card Reader.
>Intuitive
Development Exercises
There are many different
ways people can use their inherent psychic
or intuitive gifts. In the class we
teach the difference between the different
psychic modalities as well as how to
focus on the opening of these gifts
in an ongoing practical manner. The
process is perfectly safe and fun. At
the end of the course you will have
discovered gifts you didn't know you
had!
>Professional
Tarot Card Reading
In this class the
origins of the Tarot cards and the basics
of the card meanings are taught. The
concept of archetypes is clearly outlined
as well as the importance symbology
contained in the Rider-Waite deck which
is the most widely deck used for divination
and psychological study purposes. Many
types of spreads (card layouts) will
be introduced with plenty of hands-on
practice. Note: Although some individuals
may ultimately choose not to use the
Tarot deck as their own form of divination,
learning at least one deck thoroughly
is important in a well rounded development
of the psychic senses.
>Energy Fields
and Auras
In this class the
student will be learning the basics
of the human body energy systems. Student
will be taught how these “invisible”
body forms heal us and contain much
of our intuitive information. Also the
importance and identification of the
human aura fields and how to read other
people’s auras is explored and
practiced. We will go over the seven
main chakras of the human body and how
vital they are to having a healthy and
balanced existence on the earth plane.
>"Mechanics"
of a Reading
One thing that can
happen when someone performs readings
is that they find themselves floundering
in confusion which the client picks
up on. Learning to develop a “reading”
method will aid the novice as well as
accomplished readers and psychics. The
student will learn how to start, conduct,
and “wrap up” a reading with
a summation. Student will also find
out how it can help when “stuck
“ or blocked, what to do in the
case of feeling blocked, and, the benefits
of methodology providing a solid foundation
for doing a reading in any situation.
>Working with
Angels and Master Guides
Many individuals
want to believe that they have Guardian
Angels and Spirit Guides but suspect
it is just fanciful thinking. In this
class we will uncover the truth about
the existence of these wonderful and
helpful beings. Also practiced will
be safe techniques for working with
the different levels of the spiritual
realm and how to work with these entities.
Covered too will be how to determine
the difference between positive and
potentially harmful spirit contact and,
how to protect yourself.
>Introduction
to Development of Mediumship
This class will be
centered on applications of trance channeling,
practice techniques and sharing with
others. You will be taught about the
intuitive body brain. This is an ongoing
class spread over several weeks so that
you will become comfortable with the
art of channeling whether you wish to
use it for others, yourself, or just
to have the experience. This class is
taught with the student’s well-
being in consideration at all times
and how to create a safe and sacred
space from which to channel.
>Channeling
Techniques
In this class, the
student will be introduced to the many
types of mediumship methods, historically
as well as current methods. Channeling
is easier than one might think and just
takes practice. This class teaches the
student that to channel is natural and
is nothing to be afraid of. The student
will also learn how to “ground”,
receive and interpret spirit messages,
and to trust the information received.
Automatic Writing
Automatic writing,
simply another form of channeling, is
a super tool to use for one's own development!
The student will learn the different
methods of performing automatic writing
and receive in-school practice. Receiving
information and messages for self and
others can by do done by almost anyone.
It is a wonderful way to connect with
spirit and receive boatloads of information.
Many use this technique to write articles
and even books. The well known journalist
and author, Ruth Montgomery, used this
technique to write her many successful
metaphysical books by channeled messages
while using her typewriter!
>Scrying (also
known as Dowsing)
Scrying, an almost
forgotten divination skill, is taught
as an important facet in psychic development.
The student will learn the methods and
tools used for scrying (Nostradamas
used the technique of scrying to obtain
his famous quatrains of prophetic information).
Also, working with a pendulum device
for quick answers to questions on almost
any issue will be covered. Purchasing
a pendulum or crystal ball is not mandatory.
Student will be taught in how to make
their own pendulum.
>Advanced Professional
Tarot
This class will facilitate
further understanding and study of Tarot
by introducing more complicated spreads
including astrological spreads and,
how to psychically “read”
from almost any tarot deck on the market
today. You will learn that the more
you practice with the Tarot, the more
your psychic senses will naturally develop.
An original spread designed by the student
will be a requirement for this class.
>Remote Viewing
In this fascinating
class, the student will not only learn
what Remote Viewing is, but also the
basics about determining Target location
and “viewing” structure. Several
class hours will be assigned to practicing
Remote Viewing including methods of
pacing and cadence. We will cover how
to discriminate between Target information
and imagination. Also covered will be
how to draw an abstract sketch of the
intended Target, how to identify motion,
smells, textures, and surrounding landmarks.
>Psychic Self
Defense
This class is geared
toward students learning how to protect
themselves when their psychic senses
are open; especially when performing
a reading. Also taught, will be how
to prevent clients and others from draining
student’s energies whether doing
a reading or at anytime. Students will
learn how to gently deflect negative
thought form attacks, even when the
attack is unconsciously made, and more
importantly, how to shut off residual
“psychic chatter”.
>Ministerial
Ordination and Liability Insurance
It is highly recommended
that student receive ministerial ordination
in addition to psychic certification.
It is good in many ways from obtaining
insurance for a practice to providing
a client with a feeling of good intent.
We will give the information needed
in how to obtain ordination; it is a
simple process (which can even be done
on-line via the Internet) and the cost
is either free or minimal. The insurance
is approximately $300.00 and up per
year depending on full or part-time
coverage. It is highly recommended that
the graduate obtain liability insurance
for protection even if graduate does
only does a few readings a week.
>Working
with the Akashic Records
Edgar Cayce, dubbed
America’s Sleeping Prophet, introduced
the idea of the Akashic Records to the
world in general. Through his hundreds
of readings, he channeled life readings
which he claimed came from information
contained in the etheric Akashic Records
of each soul. Learn more about what
the Akashic Records are and how to access
them for doing reading the client and
for student themselves!
>Experiencing
Past Life Readings
This class will cover
reincarnation, karma, past lives, and
the in-between life states of being.
Past Life Readings are not just recreational,
they are a way of accessing information
about the client to help them heal carry
over emotional and physical trauma which
may be impeding their current life experience.
By experiencing Past Life Regression,
the student will have the opportunity
to heal many aspects of
their life.
>Paranormal
Investigation
In this class, you
will be learning about the art of Paranormal
Investigation, what science thinks about
it, and how professionals actually conduct
investigations. We will be discussing
the different types of spirit phenomena
and how to differentiate a true haunting
from human psychological agents. Learn
where hot spots are and how to assess
spirit activity. Students will also
be instructed as to how to document
a haunting and the different tools used
such as EVP (electronic voice phenomena).
As a part of this advanced module, plan
for a paranormal investigation field
trip.
>Writing Your
Mission Statement
This class
will cover what a mission statement
is and how to write a statement about
the graduated student's business intent
is what the individual's psychic practice
can offer to the public. The class might
seem simple but it does takes some serious
thought and effort on student’s
part and will help you define what it
you wish to accomplish. It also gives
the prospective client a better idea
of what you, the psychic, is about.
This is different from a Code of Ethics
in that it is a written statement of
intent and beliefs whereas a Code of
Ethics is a list of ethical attributes.
>Writing Your
Biography Sheet
How to write your
background biography for brochures,
web pages and other advertising media
will be covered in this class. Even
though you may be new to the field of
being a professional psychic, you can
still have a great background biography
in which to start with to offer the
public and potential employers.
>Business and
Marketing Techniques
The importance of
business practices will be covered in
this course along with how to market
yourself in the capacity you wish to
advertise to the public. As a healing
or psychic practitioner, you will learn
the importance of keeping records for
tax purposes, having liability insurance
and the many ways you can advertise.
You will be taught how to get started
in your practice, where to solicit business,
and how to market to employ your talents.
Tips will be offered in how to advertise
in inexpensive ways to get your practice
started, and to keep your practice lucrative
once established. Instruction will be
provided on how to give an interview
psychic reading for future employment
as well as doing role play practice
interviews. The benefits and costs of
having your own web site will be covered
as well.
