A ghostly face can be seen in this group photo of R.A.F. Airmen taken in 1919 by Sir Victor Goddard. (R.A.F. Officer, retired),The members of the squadron easily identified the man as a fellow crewmember, Freddy Jackson, an air mechanic who had been killed two days prior in a horrific accident involving an airplane propeller. Although the face is hard to discern in this old photograph, the blow-up shows more. The man in the close up is located in the top row, fourth from the left indicated by a white arrow. The "ghostly" visage is immediately behind and to the right of the man pictured in the zoom.
