Due to the fact that sightings and other phenomena can be confusing and not always understood, the medium can sift through all the happenings and let others in the group know what they are dealing with. Whether scouting a famous haunted location or investigating someone's home, a trained medium can be determine if a clearing or a Spirit crossing (rescue) needs to take place.
