THE OVILUS-A hand held device with an EMF oriented electronic vocabulary built-in with which a Spirit can allegedly manipulate and produce sounds and words for purposes of instant communication. If you are interested, this item is offered by many reputable web sites for ghost hunting equipment. One I found is: GhostStore.com. Just don't order from eBay. They are posting outrageous prices on this item on auction. You can get this equipment for a third of the price--retail! It sells anywhere from $159—$400
Old Reliables:
K2 METER-The K2 meter measures magnetic fields, and it's been specially calibrated for paranormal investigations. The theory behind the K2 meter is that if there's a spirit in the area, the K2 meter will pick up it's magnetic field. You can then train the spirits, supposedly, to intensify its magnetic field, therefore lighting up the lights on the meter.
The idea is that ghosts can actually communicate with the living by disturbing the electromagnetic fields that surround the K2 device. Tell Spirits that they can answer questions by making the meter flash twice for "yes" or once for "no".
GHOST METER-This ingenious meter will beep and blink on and off as it nears an electromagnetic field. Usually this will alert the investigator that a Spirit is either present or trying to manifest.
DOWSING RODS-Everything that exists in the universe is ultimately pure energy that gives off a vibrational frequency. This would include every particle, thought, word, emotion, object and experience. Dowsing for ghosts during an investigation can reveal critical information about the haunting or where a Spirit is present by its energy signature. Many program their rods to give them Yes/No answers. A way to use them while during an investigation and especially locating hot spots, is to go to a spot in the location where activity is said to be or for finding "hot spots" (not necessarily the temperature) previously unknown. You will know when you have something when the rods cross over each other.
Ghosts are often times also referred to as a spirit, shadow, shade, specter, apparition, orb, spook, phantasm, phantom, poltergeist, etc.

As an aircraft mechanic with a major airline, I was assigned to work on a turbine engine test cell. At that time I worked swing shift, 3pm to 11:30pm. ...Provocation is a current technique being used in ghost hunting. Some investigators think that provocation gets spirits stirred up and irked so that they will get mad and react out of anger. A question often asked of me is regarding the issue of using an Ouija board to summon Spirits. What I talk about in the Mediumship Training handbook, is that using the Ouija board is no more dangerous than using other divination tools such as the Tarot, a pendulum, rune stones, or the act of table tipping.
